Over 310,000 people have now crossed Syria’s borders in desperate search of safety. More than 220,000 of them are women and children.
It’s hard for us—an ocean and world away—to truly understand the misery. UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie saw the suffering firsthand.
Watch her fight back tears as she speaks about the sorrows of Syrian refugees:
The UN Refugee Agency is providing emergency assistance but supplies are running low, and so many people are simply unaware of the desperate journey families must endure to escape violence in Syria.
We’re breaking through the online clutter with Thunderclap, which will post a message of care on the Facebook pages and Twitter feeds of our supporters so everyone can see it…but only if we are able to reach a critical minimum number of 100 allies who are willing to show their support.
If you would like to help us create a THUNDERCLAP of attention around this important cause, please participate and a short message will automatically be posted on your Facebook or Twitter feed showing that you care about the refugees from Syria.
Join hundreds of other caring people who will be part of this exciting outreach – sign up here.
