Refugee Stories: Hawa’s Dilemma (Kenya)

When Hawa was a child, her father was murdered by rebels and her mother was kidnapped. As she grew older, Hawa was put in jail due to her father’s political activism and raped.

When she was released, she faced a dilemma: Stay in Ethiopia where she will surely die, or flee to Kenya, where she could provide a better future for her child?
