Refugee Stories: Thang’s Dilemma (Thailand)
Thang used to live in a village in Deemawsoe township in Karenni State in Myanmar. In Thang’s village, the army would recruit boys regardless of their age. Thang feared that he would be forced to join an army that was killing his own people.
Thang faced a dilemma: Stay in Deemawsoe and be used by the army to kill his own people, or flee to Thailand with a chance for education?
What would you do?
