So, you received your Blue Key in the mail. Now what?
First of all, find a good place to display it where others will be able to see. Whether this means putting your Blue Key pin on your lapel every morning or never taking your Blue Key necklace off, there are a number of creative ways to wear your pin to show your support.
Personally, I put mine on my purse so that I never have to worry about taking it on or off. I get a lot of compliments on my purse so people also notice my pin and ask what it’s all about. My purse was made in Kenya so it’s a great segue to explain that the Blue Key is the symbol for refugees opening the door to a new life.
But, the Blue Key is not just a physical symbol – it’s also digital! We’ve created some images for every Blue Keyholder to use on their website and social media profile, so that they can also let their online friends and colleagues know that they support the lifesaving work that UNHCR is doing to provide refugees with a new, better future.
Click on the images below to view a full-size version, or right-click to save the file. Then upload them onto your social media profiles or into your blog to stand in solidarity with refugees and other Blue Keyholders.
Let me know how you show your support with your Blue Key, whether it’s online or in real life, by commenting on this post or tweeting me @UNRefugeeAgency. I’d love to add your creative ideas to the Blue Key blog!
