Welcome to Geneva, Part 2
Meet Alexandra Eurdolian, Social Media Manager for UNHCR. Alexandra directs all of the social media pages for UNHCR, including Twitter (@Refugees) and Facebook (facebook.com/UNHCR).
During our conversation, Alexandra described UNHCR’s goals for social media and how it is an effective vehicle for telling the human story behind our work. Too often, we are caught up in the logistics of humanitarian aid…we send this many metric tons of supplies to X port with Y dimensions to maximize efficiency of transport. What we all have to remember are the human faces on the other end of that transport and the lives we are affecting through that aid.
Take a look at the videos below as Alexandra describes what it is like to be a “digital ambassador”.
